Pulsed Laser Deposition is a
unique technique used to deposit materials onto substrates with virtually no
setup involved. Unlike other deposition technologies, the simplicity of PLD allows for quick experimentation
of material combinations for optimum performance characteristics. The individual components are designed with versatility in mind. They can be configured to meet almost any chamber geometry that may already exist. The basic requirement of a PLD system is that there is line-of-sight between the laser beam and the target. With few exceptions, the rest of the components can be made to fit within optimum PLD geometries. Many of our systems have RS-232 communications built-in, providing the user with the most control over the process.
