Engineers and Technicians NBM employs engineers and technicians whose experiences are from leaders in the deposition and etch industries. We have considerable experience in designing and supporting small to large scale systems for industrial use as well as for the R&D community. Design Philosophy Our belief is that systems should be kept simple. This straight-forward concept has far reaching results - no phantom faults resulting in down time, lower cost of ownership, and ultimately a more robust system. We accomplish this by using clever designs, in concert with low-level automation, to meet specifications. Modularity is key in resolving service issues quickly and inexpensively. Our products are designed so that most maintenance items do not require the unit to be sent back to the factory - although this is always an option. During scheduled maintenance intervals, most of our designs incorporate common parts that can be replaced relatively quickly, resulting in minimal downtime. This strategy also allows the customer to opt to have spare parts in stock at their facility, eliminating any time lost in shipping. Modularity also contributes to the flexibility of our systems. During the design phase, our engineers will work with you to determine your immediate needs as well as your future wants. The combination of these will result in a proposal which will allow additional capacity to be "bolted-on" at a later date. Customer Service At NBM, our primary goal is customer satisfaction. We strive to provide outstanding service to our customers. In most cases, our service returns are resolved on a same-day basis. Quality We feel that quality checks in our design and manufacturing procedures is a must in producing first rate products. Our products are built with quality control at various levels. We have implemented a full documentation control system, serialized part numbers, and unique BOMs for each customer. Our designs are carried out in a DFx mode, even though most are not considered high production. All of our parts are inspected at time of receipt, and are rejected for nonconformance. Our vendors are our partners in delivering products to the community, and are therefore held to the same level of quality that we expect from ourselves.
